An oxidised floral brooch finished with 23.5ct gold foil. Rachael is a contemporary jeweller with an MA in jewellery from UCA Farnham. Inspired by historical decorative styles, Rachael’s work reinterprets traditional ornamentation and weaves in personal narratives and symbols. The process is intuitive, involving hand marking and piercing. She layers decorative surfaces and employ techniques such as etching, roller printing, keum boo, gold plating and oxidising. The end results are rich and opulent pieces, blending antique aesthetics with a modern touch.
